ITALY

Tuscan villages, the breathtaking Lake District, incredible food, sunny seasides, and ancient ruins – this list barely scrapes the surface of all that Italy has to offer. How can a country that is smaller than the state of California offer so much? Where do you start?

There’s so much to take in that I highly recommend planning for at least two weeks in Italy. Even with fourteen days, you really can’t see it all!

First, you’ll want to decide on your budget and time constraints.
Secondly, you’ll have to do the hard part: prioritize what you really want to see or what you simply cannot miss.
Finally, think about how much moving around do you want to do.
Let’s talk about what you might want to see and do…

Italy Top 10
Do you want a vacation that’s more focused on tourism and hitting all of the most popular tourist spots, i.e. Colosseum, Vatican, Uffuzi Gallery, Pisa, the wineries throughout Tuscany, a gondola ride in Venice? Shopping for leather in Florence, see Michelangelo’s David in person at the Galleria dell’Accademia, walking along the Arno River or experiencing true Italian gelato for the first time (Gelato was invented in Florence). We can work together to craft an excursion that allows you to experience it all!

Coastal Relaxation
Do you prefer a more laid back, coastal vacation, hitting the gorgeous southern Italian Coast? Amalfi, Portifino, Positano or Lake Como. Other fabulous destinations in Italy, such as Lucca, Sienna, Milan (for the fashion-forward folks). I also love being at the beach in Viareggio, just a short car ride to Florence and the beaches are full of amazing beach clubs and beautiful hotels.

Picturesque Villages & Romantic Get-Aways
If you’re looking for something a little more quaint and off the beaten path, a visit to Monterosso and the Cinque Terre is a MUST. Take the ferry from island to island, snack on homemade Focaccia bread or find a delicious cliffside seafood restaurant and enjoy a gorgeous sunset. For those with a more sophisticated pallet, a stay on Lake Como or in Portofino is not to be missed.

Culinary Affair
Dining in Italy is exactly what you’d expect and more! Michelin Five Star restaurants will delight your savory senses while the creative, creamy flavors of Italian Gelato will certainly be the best you’ve ever tasted. Regional specialty cuisine is not to be missed! Naples, the origin of pizza, Tuscan truffles, said to be a bit like diamonds in their particularities and personalizations, or Sicilian seafood. There is certainly something for everyone – you won’t want to miss a bite!
